I have had questions about how I did the following in the photo below during a past demonstration on making wig stands.

The question was how did I mount the plywood backer to the tailstock? Sorry, I have been doing this for so long it never occurred to me to explain the setup.
The photos below should make this more explanatory. The thread adapter is typically called a "Chuck Reversing Adapter." I purchased my adapter well over 10 years ago.
