Joan Kelly wrote the following in MSWG's Turners Talk, August 2008
The Mid South Woodturners Guild's new permanent collection of woodturning is now in the hands of archives director and gallery curator Brother Robert Werle. CBU is delighted to have the collection, especially since the MSWG show last year was one of Brother Vincent's favorites. (Brother Vincent was the president of the university who died tragically in a car crash several months ago.) They will be photographing each piece in the collection and writing up a press release within the next couple of weeks. The plan is to send publicity to the Commercial Appeal and to do a feature for the CBU magazine which goes out to alumni and other supporters. As promised earlier, the collection will be displayed in the upper level of the library near the entrance. Having this collection on display in the university setting is a great reflection on the Mid-South Woodturners Guild as we continue striving "to provide information and education ... for all who are interested in turning wood."
